FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Demand to Reimage / Convert Petroleum Stations Drives Pro Sign Company Expansion
Pro Signs announces company expansion and technology investments.
Downingtown, PA -- Pro Sign Company, one of the largest Petroleum-specific sign companies on the East Coast, is nearly halfway through their expansion project just west of their Downingtown, PA headquarters. The expansion is largely driven by increased client demand for site conversion signage. Whether it is an independent distributor or major brand, many companies are leaning on Pro Signs to accommodate the ever-changing aspects of a petroleum/convenience store site. Since 1947, Pro Signs' success has stemmed from adapting to their clients' needs-adding product lines (LED signage), improving processes (Lean Manufacturing), investing in new equipment and technologies (Digital Printers), and increasing project management staff. "Due to our consistent trend of growth, and sheer fact that we are literally bursting at the seams, expanding our facility wasn't really an option-it was a necessity," says Pro Signs General Manager, D. David Dugan.
In addition to increased square footage, Pro Sign Company has recently added (2) Vutek High Definition Superwide Format Printers to their already extensive equipment line-up. These machines bridge the gap between superior image quality, productivity, and connectivity, opening the door to new applications and opportunities. Additionally, they feature the ability to change between rigid and flexible substrates in less than a minute, to produce output of up to 900 square feet per hour. "After a great deal of research, we selected these models to meet the demanding turnaround requirements of our clients, without compromising quality," said Jamin Rosenfeld, Production Manager for Pro Signs. The QS3200 and QS2000 are considered to be the best flat-bed printers in their class. They produce the highest quality digitally-printed products available in the industry today. "When a company wants leading edge solutions for their reimage needs, we intend to be the first name that comes to mind," says Pro Sign Company President, Jack Protesto.
The Pro Sign Company expansion will increase site capacity by more than 50 percent, and is expected to increase production efficiencies exponentially through a lean layout approach. Phase one of the two-phase expansion project is anticipated for completion in November 2008. The second phase, which includes the administrative offices, will be completed in the second quarter of 2009.
